I'm 4dpiui as well, so I'm in, but not hopeful. Seemed like a super weak ovulation this month and I wouldn't be surprised if neither even released. There were 2 x 21mm on Thurs. but still there on Sat. when I did the IUI. Last month I felt so differently after the trigger shot. This month, nothing. Not a good sign.

How many follies did you have? And how did yours go? This one hardly hurt a bit. First one was pretty uncomfortable.

Thanks for your reply. I had 5 follicles, I didn't have U/S on iui day but on Thursday they were all 18mm and over so I imagine they were much bigger at the time of iui. Pretty good I think for this old chick. I am 40 and I only had 2 follicles last cycle. Last one failed I am sure because of timing I was about to O so they did the iui trigger way too early. I am hopeful this time. My RE who is very reserved and no nonsense told my nurse that he thinks this is going to be the cycle that works. So with that said I am keepin the faith. I am not sure if this fails we will try again or move on to IVF. I as most women are really hoping to not have to go that far, but I will to get this child that I want.

That's great! Did you use injectables to get the 5? I'm 43 with one ovary and did just Clomid this month, so I was happy with 2 good ones. I don't want to do IVF again due to just one ovary. I'm too afraid of using $3k of medication and getting only 1 or 2 eggs and then, no guarantee they will fertilize and mature. Last year, I had 7 follies, 5 retrieved, 4 fertilized and 3 matured. I doubt I'll be that lucky this time. So I'm going to do like 6 rounds of IUI. I got pg 1st time on IVF, m/c'ed at 11w, then pg 3 cycles later w/o anything. M'c'ed at 7w. Trying to help it along this time with IUI.

Five is fabulous. And yes, that dreadful timing can so mess things up. We cushioned it with sex before and after so I'm hoping we're covered. Are your IUIs expensive? I can do 10 for the cost of one round of IVF.

Yes I got 2 mature ones last cycle with injectables and 5 mature ones this cycle. I took clomid days 3-7 and 150ui of bravelle 3 times during the cycle as needed after being monitored. I also did a overdrel hcg trigger shot. I did the same protocol but I did less clomid this cycle and more bravelle. I am taking progesterone starting the day after the iui. I know I have low progesterone from a miscarriage many years ago but my RE uses that for everyone anyway. I have the hot flashes from that and have had some minor cramps but nothing else. I believe I need injectables to have a real chance. I thought I wasn't going to be able to take the shots because I hate needles but the needles are very small and I have come to learn when we want a baby we are willing to put our bodies and our minds through anything to get it. You feeling anything?

oh and a iui at my clinic is 1,600 per cycle plus drugs separately. A IVF cycle is 11,500 plus drugs separately.

what do u mean felt differently from trigger shot? what symptoms should u have??/ i just had my first iui today...set for progesterone blood test next wk fri. do u think thats too late? should i go earlier. (i had two early isses last year- possibly due to low progesterone?) sorry to iggie back on ur initial discussion...but im also in the tww......mine takes me over my 30th birthday!!aaahhh waiting.....
