Is a uterine lining of 4.2 thick enough to get pregnant?
I had a cd11 ultrasound and had 3 follicles- 16, 13 & 18 and the lining was 4.2. My doctor insisted on giving me the trigger shot that day & the iui the next day. He said the follicles take priority. Could something happen to them? Does the lining need to be thicker? I've been taking Clomid. I don't want to waste money on the iui if the lining is too thin.

Yeah, definitely know what you mean about not wanting to waste money on a cycle that may not work. I went today at CD11 and had 3 follicles (only one ovary though) at 20, 17 and 16. I'll trigger on Friday. My lining was only 8mm and I thought that was a bit low. I'm taking Cyclacur (estrogen) to help build it up.
My recommendation is if you got 3 with just Clomid, do the trigger shot but not the IUI unless it's fairly cheap. Also, try to get the estrogen and progesterone supplements to build up your lining before implantation.

I myself wouldn't be as worried about the thickness of your urterus, i would be more worried about the size of your follicils. My RE told me that those sizes are too small. My RE had me trigger earlier than most women because i had soo many follicles that they didnt want me having multiples, and they didnt trigger me until they were larger than 20.

Yeah, other poster is right. I didn't notice he wanted you to trigger that day. My largest was 20 on Weds. (plus a 17 and a 16) and my dr. isn't having me trigger until Friday night. It seems very early to trigger - when your largest is just 18. No idea why he would rush it like that as it seems you need at least several more days for your follicles to mature before triggering.
