period 9days late this morning had some bleeding thought it was my period but im able to use a liner

this morning i had some bleeding after my period being 9days late. i used a tampon but a hour later i had no blood at all. i been using a panty liner. my cycle is always on time. i dont know if i should do a HPT to see if maybe im pregnant and the blood was implantation bleeding or maybe im not pregnant at all. im confused dont know what to think of this. Help!
