Question

Beta 9 dpo?

So I had a beta test Wednesday morning around 9:30 am. Took a answer quick and easy test in late afternoon with light positive. Found out beta was 4. So do you think for being 9dpo I have a chance of a baby this month? Took a test this am (10dpo) and also positive. Anyone have this happen to go on to having a healthy pregnancy?

I don't think a beta at 9dpo is indicative of much, it's just too early. But the fact that you're getting positive hpts is a really good sign. Are you going back for a second blood draw? The numbers themselves are less important than their doubling time - a doubling rate of 48 to 72 hours could indicate a normally progressing pregnancy.

A beta number of 4 at 9dpo is just too low and too early to be meaningful. The reason why a beta of 5 or more is generally the cutoff for pregnancy is that some women have very low levels of hcg in their systems always. I don't think this is the case for you, I'm hopeful that this is a pregnancy - but I think an additional test or two is in order.

Good luck!!!
