Any questions you have about medications and pregnancy should be asked to your primary care physician, a pharmacist, or your OB. As anurse...I don't know a lot of medicines that will "Cause Miscarriage" but there are a lot of medicines that will cause birth defects and problems with the pregnancy for either the mother or the fetus. I would def. discuss it with your doctor because even if Ultram isn't recommened for pregnancy you may have to take the risk or they can prescribe something else. Good Luck!!

Im not sure about ultram, but I do know hydrocodone is safe to take for short periods of time while pregnant as my dr prescibed it for me for a slipped disk in my back I was pregnant with twins. But you should deff consult your pharmacist and Dr before taking anything while pregnant !

Ultram is not safe to take during pregnancy. Most doctor's don't like to prescribe anything. I had to take Tylenol with Codiene when I was pregnant with my daughter for migranes.
