Question

How to stay positive?

We have been ttc for about 8 months now, but unfortunately i have quite the irregular cycle. They are usually around 32-33 days, but the last one was 28. Im currently on day 31 of my cycle (which is my average length) and everyone's telling me to test because i've been feeling rather off lately. I bought the test, but now I'm really scared to take it and get yet ANOTHER negative result. How do you guys stay positive when ttc? what should I do if i still cant get pregnant in the next couple months? Im so sad because everyone around me is conceiving and I want a baby so bad!!
I should throw in there that my boyfriend is older (35) and I am younger (23). does his age affect this?

I know how you feel. Took me two years to conceive and everyone around me got pregnant. My sis, sister in law, best friend, etc. Have you been tracking ovulation and all that good stuff? For me right around 9 months I realized something was wrong with me and suspected PCOS. When to a specialist to confirm it through a bunch of tests and started treatments after that.. Took a year of fertility help to get pregnant. I used to get REALLY down about it each time I saw a negative. So much I withdrew from friends and family. My doc kept saying to stay positive because its just a matter of time now with the drugs out nowadays and boy was he right. I have REALLY messed up hormones thanks to my PCOS yet now I have a 5 month old. Just took some patience. Give it some time it will happen eventually. I dreaded the - test too and man did I get the shock of my life when the stick read pregnant for once. It made that moment all the more sweeter! Just be patient and think positive. It will happen! GL!

I'm with Ayeaye, are you tracking and confirming ovulation via BBT? It's a really awesome way to get to know your body and maybe get some answers as to why it's doing what it's doing.

I've been TTC for almost 3 years now. I've gone through 3 doctors total. We know we are not dealing with Male Factor infertility, BUT the medical community is hesitant about going further with us bc, "we are under 30 AND I'm confirming ovulation every cycle." We've had to fight for the blood work that's being run now.

It's TOUGH, not gonna lie. Some days are worse then others. It really depends on what gives you hope. I've started attending a yoga class twice a week, and listening to guided meditation CDs focusing on pregnancy. I read birth stories, even the sad ones. I have to keep reminding myself that I can do this and I deserve a family, every single day. Visualization has been KEY for me to stay as positive as I am. GL! and I'm KMFX for you!

Stay strong there.....as hard as it may be, we just need to stay positive. I have also been TTC for 8 months and my cycle is a regular 28 days one (but I have just turned 39) My man is 45 and having checked with a consultant, the man's age doesn't effect the likelihood of conception. Stress doe though....so just try to chill out a bit and plan lots of fun stuff to do to take your mind off it. After all, when you have your baby, a lot of the fun stuff you can do now will be off the agenda for a while - so get out there and enjoy! Good luck to you - your time will come soon x
