Pregnancy and ADD medication
Hi ladies (and future dads in case there's some out there)!! I have been ttc my first child for almost a year now. I am 35 and recently discovered that I have a form of adult ADD that has affected my professional performance and my personal relations quite a bit. I feel so miserable sometimes that I think medication is worth a try. However, I am afraid of the consequences stimulant drugs can have on a baby. Don't get me wrong. I am in general a very "adapted" person and have the most lovely husband in the world. I know we could be great parents. I wish I could do both. Have a child and do this ADD treatment for myself, but I don't want to risk hurting a child, and I am also afraid we are running out of time since my husband is 38 and I am 35.
Have any of you taken Ritalin, Concerta, Focalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, Straterra or Wellbutrin during or right before pregnancy? if you did, could please tell me about it?
Thanks for your advice and I wish you all the luck in your tt
