BFN about 16DPO

I have a 26 day cycle. Today marks CD28 but AF is a no show. I POAS but got a BFN. I didnt take my tests with my other two children until about CD30 which I never kept track of anything back then anyway. Is it really possible for a First response to come up with a false negative being a day late? Also I will add i have only been speculating when O has been I do not BBT or use O test strips so im only speculating im 16DPO by my calender. but surely i would have implanted by now and got my BFP by now right?

There's the possibility you might not have ovulated. Or you ovulated later than usual. Wait another week and then test again. This happens to me too, but I'm usually out cause I didn't ovulate or did later than I should've.
