why won't doc give me blood test?

I am so confused with what is going on with my body at the moment!

I am around 50 days late, 3 wks ago when to nurse as thought I had urine infection, she was very sure that I would be preg, (as had light bleeding)

I went to the doc's a few days later and told the doc how I feel and what the nurse said, she just told me I have to send off for a urine test every week for a month! why hasn't or won't she give me a blood test ? do I have to wait a so long until I can have one?

My last test was last wed which was neg:( but I have started to get sore nipples as well as feeling more hungry.
I also am thirsty all the time and am going to the toilet more , I am having to get up in the night.

I don't know what to think any more and what to do?

any advise you can give will a huge help. :)
