CBEFM - Has anyone missed a testing day and readings were thrown off?

To start off, I normally ovulate on cd16. Last month I had a chemical pregnancy, and we are trying again this month. I started getting a high reading on cd9, but I accidentally over slept and missed a test on cd15. That is usually when I get my first peak reading, and I started having o pains and bbs were full. So I assumed that I was gonna o the next day. I did a test the next day and got a high, but today, cd17, I got a peak?!? I'm so confused!!! I've been having o pains for 3 days now and figured the monitor would just go back to low, but it gave me my egg. Does missing a testing day throw these things off? I don't want to miss a day of bd'ing, but we are honestly just tired after 3 days of it, when I thought I was ovulating. Not really sure what to do...
