Question

Why is the negative line on the test so light sometimes, compared to the other line?

I've been buying generic pregnancy tests, but I'm late on my AF and the line has been so faint. There's clearly no positive line, but I've never seen the NEGATIVE line so faint before. I can barely see it. Does that mean anything? Should I go buy a better brand? They aren't expired or anything.

Go buy a brand name, you could be pregnant. (0 votes)
The faint negative line means something. See below comment. (1 votes)
The faint negative line doesn't mean anything. (1 votes)
Be patient and try it again, you silly girl. (0 votes)

I would assume if you're seeing another line show up within the time frame then it could possibly be something. If you're seeing a line form way after the test dries then its likely an evaporation line. I will say that with some brands I haven't seen any kind of second line yet, but with cheap dollar store tests I see a white line that appears within time frame. Unfortunately they weren't positive though. I've read too that if a line has color then it's not considered an evap line.
