How far a long are you when you miscarry?

Aspirin, low dose, no more than 81mg a day.

Sorry to hear that, Olivia. I've had 2 this year. First one, they could find no reason. The second it was pretty obvious, even to us, that it was developmental problem. They ran me through all the test except the blood clotting one, which is like 'stage 2' intervention after aspirin. Not sure if I have this issue as it seems mine are due to being over 40 and egg quality. But you may want to get that blood clotting test. Also, did you have your progesterone checked? Low progesterone can cause m/c and it's easy to remedy with supplements. I'm curious too to know how far along you were?

As they were a bit early, it might be low progesterone. Did you get it checked on either? I don't know if the blood clot issue would cause a problem that early. I'd recommend asking your Dr. about getting on progesterone supplements.

Aspirin is used to thin the blood and prevent clotting, it is an antiplatelet, which means it will not bust a clot but will prevent the platelets from adhereing to eachother, thus increasing circulation to both the uterus and ovaries. This allows the uterus to better prepare the lining and increases chances of implantation. Poor circulation to the newly implanted egg (due to clotting) will cause the egg to die off prematurely and end in miscarriage, so will an insuccifient/clotted uterine lining. Unless u are taking anticoagulants, have an allergy to nsaids or have asthma, aspirin will do more good than harm. Its a drug that doesnt get as much credit as it deserves.

How much aspirin should I take?

Low dose...very important!!!! Low dose or baby aspirin, depends if ya wanna swallow or chew...maximum dosage is 81mg, once a day...in Canada our aspirin is 81mg, Ive seen other countries sell it as 78 & 80mg, which are fine also...anything more and ur gonna run in to problems.

Is there a certain time in my cycle that I should start and stop taking the aspirin?

Starting before O would be more beneficial than starting towards the end, but u can start whenever and continue up until the third trimester. U'll find ur periods will be less clotty also.
