Blood in the urine is called hematuria and it can affect the results, giving false positives...wait a few days then test.

Hi Stacey, I am very prone to kidney infections. NOT FUN!! One is bad enough, but a double?! Oh hunny, hang in there! While I'm not sure about blood affecting a pregnancy test, I can tell you what he told me to maybe help ease your mind about it a little. My OB says that kidney infections will NOT affect trying to get pregnant. And if you ARE pregnant, they will not affect implantation or growing baby at all. He said the only thing you need to worry about is possible stress from it delaying your cycle a little. Feel better, and baby dust to you!
