when do you start to chart temperature. is it after period, while on period. and does it go up or down when ovulating

You start on the first day of full flow, not when spotting. Once your temp goes up it means you have ovulated and if your not pregnant it tends to drop and then you can expect AF pretty much after this. Good luck!!
