Even with the best brands, it all depends on when implantation occurs. If you implant early, then you'll get your BFP earlier. If you implant later, then you'll get the BFP later. Each pregnancy is different, so even if you got one result with a previous pregnancy, it won't relate to any future pregnancies. Implantation can occur anywhere from 6-12 dpo and then it takes another few days for levels to increase. In my case, I got a BFN at 12 dpo and didn't get a BFP until 14 dpo when Af was a day late (and I used the very low sensitive tests). I just have to assume I implanted on the later end of things. 8 Days before AF due i tested on off chance with first response early and it came out pos and very clear so i had ultra sensitive strips and tested with 4 of them which came back pos... really unsure i then bought a clear blue dig the next day and it came up preg. This is my forth pregnancy and i have always used first response and always got the correct reults highly reccommand using them for early testing.

I didn't get a BFP until I was 6 weeks pregnant. I used a variety of tests- New Choice (Dollar Store), First Response Early Results, E.P.T and Clearblue Easy Digital. My first positive came from the E.P.T test on CD 42 but the line was faint. I followed it almost immediately with a First Response Early Results test and got a strong positive. I ended up taking a Clearblue later that night just to see the "Pregnant" pop up (I was sick of seeing "Not Pregnant" for all my early false negatives). It really depends on when you implanted and how much hcg your body produces. I've heard a lot of good about FRER, though. Best wishes and baby dust!

Thank-you for your responces, ladies! That does make sence, and I guess I didn't think of that. I should be around 9 or 10 dpo (Positive OPK on July 3) and today I got some light brown spotting so I think that might be implantation bleeding b/c I don't usually have spotting b/f AF. Fingers crossed!!! So if it really is, then I guess I could test in 5 days or so. I'll keep ya updated!
