Question

Early ovulation but long luteal phase???

Hello- wondering if anyone can shed some light. Have been TTC for 3 months and have found a have a long cycle- between 33-36 days. I started using opks I couple cycles ago and found I ovulate between cd12-14. The problem is it doesn't add up! My research says the luteal phase is always the same and never longer than 18 days, mine are closer to 24 days long!?! Have tested multiple times on all cycles and always bfn so pretty sure not chemical pregnancy....
What could be going on? Incorrect opk? My is my cycle so long?

Thanks for any new information anyone has!

That sounds really interesting and strange! Do you temp? Do you test with opk's later in the cycle? The only thing that I can think of, is that you gear up to O around day 12 and then it gets delayed somehow.

For what it's worth, I usually O early (day 10-13 lately) but my cycles are typically 23-26 days, so it makes perfect sense. When I had a longer (31 day) cycle, my O wasn't until day 17. So yes, for me, the luteal phase is consistently 13-14 days even though my O date varies.

I suggest temping and entering your basal temps into Fertility Friend to see if they can shed some light.
