New to bbt charting...did i start too late?

my period started on friday which i know is the day i was supposed to start charting but it came unexpectedly and i figured that i would start the next day but didn't have my thermometer with me.So i woke up at 7am today(CD3) and took my temp before i did anything else.it was 97.9...

You should be fine. You just need several days of temping to get your coverline. A couple of days should not make too big of a difference. Just keep temping. Good luck and lots of baby dust.
