First Response and grey line instantly...unsure???
Hi
I wonder if anyone out there has had the same as i have and its been a positive result later down the line. I took a test yesterday on day 7 past O on first response and instantly, a white line, that went grey, the dispersed afer a little while....the same thing happen today, 8 days past ovulation . Is there anyone out there who has had the same, and are now pregnant ? ive emailed the company to see what they say too, as i always use these tests, but if am going to be dissapointed every month, i think i might have to change brands. any input would be great , mandy xx

That is the line where the pink would appear if you were pregnant. I would consider it negative (they would appear even if a man peed on it...I have taken a dozen the last couple months!). You are so early though, it could still be a false negative (too early to get a + result even if you are pg).

I HATE these tests for that very reason!! I end up with a grey shadow each time I have ever used one. Same goes for answer brand since I think that they are esentially the same thing marketed differently. Last month a dark grey line appeared immediately, it almost seemed to show before urine moved across screen. I was convinced it was a +. NOPE. Got af..i have read so many posts about evaps with these 2 brands I dont use them. They work great if you are pregnant, but if not they give false hope.

I will also add that when I called about evap lines she mentioned it may be due to over-saturation. She recommended dipping 5 seconds in a cup of urine which I told her I already do. She also told me that they could not validate the sensitivity of the test. I specifically asked her about the 12.5 vs. 25. All she is authorized to say is that it is the most sensitive test on the market..ok?? They sent me a coupon for free box and offered that or a full refund.
