Q: Very concerned about D&C anyone had it done?

Hello everyone I'm a 25 year old healthy woman. I have a 7 year old daufhter. I was on seasonique for 5 years. I came off in January because me and my fiancé want to have another baby. I have had regular periods since but they have been very heavy. I just recently switched doctors and found out my endometrium is 18 mm thick. My OB referred me to a reproductive specialist and he says I need to have a d & c done, and also possible clomid. I'm so scared has anyone experienced anything like this? Is this concidered secondary infertility?

I have had this procedure done a couple of times for the same reason. I was put under anesthesia and I only had some mild cramping afterward. Of course every women is different, but it was not bad for me at all. I missed a couple of days of work. I took clomid for the first three months I was TTC to regulate my cycles (I also had long, irregular cycles). I did not get pregnant while on clomid but it did regulate my cycles to 33 days. I took it at night so I did not have to worry about side effects. Not sure if this is considered secondary infertility or not. Good luck to you!!!
