I disagree with Dori. Brown blood is not a bad sign in between periods. Brown blood signals "old blood", which could, in fact, be a sign of implantation bleeding. Because implantation bleeding is not heavy bleeding, sometimes it can sit inside the cervix for a while before it makes its way out. That is why it is brown. Implantation bleeding is never red, however. A light pink or light brown could be a sign of implantation, however, it can also be a sign of ovulation, depending upon the person.
Any kind of blood after a pregnancy is confirmed should definitely be talked to a doctor about. It could be a sign of an early miscarriage.

While spotting can be a sign that AF is on it's way, you are not out until AF shows! Keep in mind that a light period every now and then is also common. I did have spotting (both brown and red) before my BFP, but that only occurs in about 30% of pregnant women and my spotting was different than my normal pre-period spotting. Good luck!

I agree with dori, every time I've had any type of spotting af always followed shortly after. That's not to say it's impossible, it's just typically a sign she's on her way. Wishing you lots of luck though :)

Hi:) I dont believe that brown or red discharge is a good sinal. Everytime I see it I get my Af. I see a lot woman asking about implantation bleeding or similar thing but they ended getting their Af . Bleeding always is bad sign even if is brown( old blood) . It is very rare brown discharging before a Bfp but it is not impossible. I hope you get your positive soon... God bless you
