late period, negative hpt? confused.

I ovulated on 4/21/2012, my period was supposed to start yesterday, 5/7/2012. My periods always on time, usually with a little spotting the day before my expected period. Today 5/8/2012, no spotting, no cramping, no period. I took a hpt on 5/4/2012 with a faint positive using clearblue, I took one 5/6 and 5/7 a First Response Early Result and both appeared to be negative to me. I've had nausea, sore breasts, slight bloating, food aversions, and very exhausted. I'm not reallly sure whats going on with my body. Plan to take another test in the am if nothing has happened. Has anyone had this happen? Could I be pregnant still with a negative hpt on the day my period was expected or is my period just running late for some unkonwn reason?
