Question

Cramps at a little over 5 weeks pregnant. Should I worry?

So, I've been having some slight cramping, not AF-type cramping, but more like stretching (which I know is normal for pregnancy). But the question is, why are these "cramps" more intense when stress is involved?

I was having some pretty good bouts of nausea as well but they seem to have left. But when the nausea left, I started having headaches. :( 2nd day with a headache. They come at random, and I try to hold off on the medicine until I can't stand it. Yesterday I suffered from 11 am to about 8 pm, with one. It's now 9:30 pm and I've had this one trying to start since about 2 pm. Headaches suck. :( But at least its not a migraine!!

Also, my "cramps" are mostly on my left side, and rarely on my right side. Any ideas? I plan to get in to see my doctor on Friday.

Cramps are completely normal during early pregnany. Your uterus is just making room for baby. The only time you should be concerned is if you are having severe cramps (much worse than AF) and/or also bleeding, then you should see your doctor. Also consider checking out the sister site to this one countdownmypregnancy.com . It's a great site and you can upload belly pics and ultrasounds and keep track of your pregnancy. You'll also find lots of ladies there to help you too:-) Congrats!
