Question

First Response 6 Days Sooner - line after 10 min? Is it REALLY positive??

I know, I know. You aren't supposed to read a result after 10 minutes. But, I took a First Response 6 Days sooner around 9am and I only gave it about 30 seconds for a negative result before I left it on the counter and walked away. About 45min-1 hour later I walked back into the bathroom and noticed it on the counter and there is a faint, but very distinct pink line. NONE of the other tests I took showed ANY faint lines even days after taking them.

I am 10DPO and I have been testing everyday (usually 2-3x a day...) for the last week. I have taken probably 10 pregnancy tests at this point. I checked them hours-days later and they are all still a BFN. But this new one... I don't know.

I live in a small town and am down to one last Clear Blue digital test- which I know isn't as sensitive as the FR. It will be tomorrow afternoon before I can even get another test.

What do you ladies think??? Is it just an evap line? I'm kind of freaking out.

I would retest tomorrow to be sure and check within the time period. It will be ok!

If you have more tests, hold your urine for 4 hours and test again. Since you walked away from it before the 10 minutes, you don't know how long it took for the line to develop. Mine at 10-12dpo took about 5 minutes to turn positive. They stayed with the faint line afterwards though, so yours may be real.

Good Luck!

Thank you ladies, I will get another test tomorrow. But in the mean time, I am still looking it up online like crazy. :)

10 dpo can still be early, I didn't get a BFP until 14 dpo (and you are definitely wasting tests using several a day prior to 10 dpo). Anyway, since you can't confirm the line appeared in the time frame you can't consider it positive yet. Try again tomorrow and don't go anywhere until the time frame is up (or set a timer or something so you won't forget). Good luck and I hope your next line is for real:-)

OK, I took another First Response 6 Days Sooner this morning around 9:00am. It was a BFN. But... it wasn't my first morning pee and only about an hour and a half since my last pee. I even took it apart and several hours after it dried, absolutely NO evap line. I'm still not sure what to think. I'm now 11DPO and AF is supposed to come on Thursday. The suspense is killing me!

Ok, I know I need to stop obsessing over this and just wait for AF to either show up or not in 2 days. But that's not my style (lol) I took 2 more First Response 6 days sooner tests yesterday.

The first test was not FMU and it was only about 2 hours since my previous pee. I don't think I had a sufficient sample on that one, I just couldn't wait any longer. I took apart the test (naturally, lol) and hours later there was NO evaporation line. No indent, nothing. I squinted and held it up to the light, there wasn't so much as even a slightly white ghost line.

I took another one last night. I held my urine for over 5 hours, got a really good sample. In the 10 min time frame, it was still negative. I took that test apart too and a few hours later another pink line appeared! Probably even stronger than my first +/evap from 2 days prior.

I have taken probably a dozen FR 6 Days Sooner and the 2 more recent ones are the only ones that have showed any sort of evap line. Thoughts??
