Question

Vitamin D3 tablets are bad for you?

I started taking vitamin D3 about a week ago cause I have a deficiency & now I'm late for my period but pregnancy tests are coming up negative, taking these tablets is the only thing that I've done differently so I looked up if they affect pregnancy tests & ended up finding out that a lot of people taking them ended up with screwed up cycles until they stop. The tease of thinking I'm pregnant & then finding out its probably just these tablets is really heart breaking!

Has anyone here had the same problem with these or any other kind of vitamins?

I have been taking 5000iu of D3 for over a year now and even started before we started ttc. It has never effected my periods and my dr said it was a good think I take it becuase there are studies that show that taking extra d3 can help keep you from having pre-eclampsia and preterm labor when you do conceive. There could be other reasons why you are having a late cycle. MAybe you O later than you thought so you will start later.
