Question

Too soon to try again?

I had a MC at 9 1/2 weeks mid Sept. My Husband and I tried in Jan. and ended up having a chemical preg. I am currently on my period right now. I don't know if we should try to conceive again for my next cycle coming up soon. My husband wants to but I am hesitant. Should I wait? Any physical reasons why it would be a good idea to wait or to try right away ? I have been under a lot of stress lately. Does anyone think that could have contributed to me having a chemical preg.? I have a 2 yr. old and had no problems conceiving or with the preg. but since her birth I have had 2 losses. I just don't know why this is happening. Stress? Anyone else have similar events happen?

I am very sorry for your losses. I have also lost 2 babies. I do not have any children as of yet. If you are hesitant at all, I think that you should honour those feelings. The waiting period I think has to do with dating a pregnancy and psychological reasons. If you have been to the doctor about your chemical pregnancy, I think that you should be alright... but it is a question a doctor should probably answer.

airiesing - Sorry for your loss as well. I know its so hard to decide what to do. My Dr. says keep trying but its hard. I don't know whether or not to try this next cycle. I don't know if I can handle another dissappointment so soon. I turn 35 next mth. so I do feel a bit if pressure not to wait too long. Good Luck to you too!

the big difference being that i will be 42 in may, ugh! i think we are gonna keep trying at least for a few more months, last month was a bit of a surprise but it has rekindled that familiar yearning!

Sorry to hear of your losses. For me I just had a D&C this morning as last Friday I found out I had a blighted ovum. What drs said to me was wait 2 cycles. Reason given was to aid in dating for new baby. But basically said try when you want. I think if you are physically and emotionally ready you need to go for it. I know I am not getting any younger 35+ and this was our first attempt out of the gate and the one thing it did for us was reasure we could get pg in first place. Where you already have one child it means you too can do it and will be blessed again if it was meant to be. Be happy and healthy and we will all succeed when we are supposed to and when we are ready to. Good luck with whatever you decide (everyone). I truly believe you will know when the timing is right and only YOU can make that decision. Medically the doc will figure out when it happened and as long as it is healthy who cares when the glorious 9 months start. PS from what I hear more fertile on O after 1st A
