Question

Too early to test?

I am 9 DPO and due on 2/11/12. Since I am 4 days from expected per. is it worth it to spend the extra $ to take a 6 day early test? I have the cheap dollar store tests here. It came out neg. today but I wonder if a more sensitive test would show up now? I am anxiuosly waiting to know if I am especially since last preg. in Sept. ended in miscarriage but I'm afraid the early test will show up neg. too because its too early. Anyone have any luck with the early tests? How about the First Response 6 day Sooner ones? Thanks everyone!

Hi, I personally would wait another 2 days at the earliest. If you cant then I like the first response ones or maybe see if you can get a store brand that is just as sensitive.
Good luck

I agree with waiting. Though ladies who have ttc for long periods of time would tell you DON'T test at all until you miss an af. Which I agree with. Money down the drain...

Good luck!!! :)

I agree with the other two statements. If your body hasn't produced enough hormones there is nothing you can do about it but wait. I have also heard that the dollar store kind have a very high sensitivity so they can be just as good, if not better, than some of the regular brands. No point in wasting the money on more tests and stressing yourself out. If your period is late, then test again.

It depends how anxious you are. I waited until 12 dpo. and used First Response 6 days sooner, and got an unmistakable positive in the AM. From what I've read, 12 dpo is your best bet to start with something like First Response, earlier will probably not show much. Good luck! :)
