Question

Chicken Pox Virus and conception

I work in an elementary school. The students who are in the class that I work in have chicken pox. I know that I am immune. I have already lost 2 babies... no children yet. I'm not sure if I am pregnant this month. If I am negative this month, should I hold off for a couple months TTC?

I would wait for sure... just because you have been immune in the past, doesn't mean you are currently immune. I had chicken pox twice as a child and contracted it again as an adult with Mono. That apparently reset my system to things I had been immune to prior and was not immune to measles/mumps when I was pregnant with my last child. they had to give me the shot before I left the hospital with the baby. Better safe than sorry is what I always say. :)
