bbt all over the place = no ovulation!? :(
Hello ! I got off birth control Oct. 7th and had a pill period oct 10th. I havnt had a period since! and I have been tracking my bbts and my cm and they seem pretty erratic to me! I read that if your bbts r everywhere then u didnt ovulate?! anyone else know that?? I just didnt think it would take this long for my body to get back on schedual! Here if u could look at my chart and let me know

When I went off the Pill in June, my chart was TOTALLY wacky! I think this month was the first normal one I've had ("normal" in that it actually looks like another human being's now ;). I was really worried that I didn't ovulate as well, so I started using OPKs in conjunction with my BBT charting.
The OPK picks up your LH surge right before you ovulate, and then you'll see a dip in your temperature. Use them both together and see if you notice that pattern. If you do, I THINK it's safe to say you're ovulating. If you're really worried, I'd check with your doctor. They can do several different blood tests to measure your hormone levels, do an ultrasound to confirm ovulation, etc.
When I met with my doctor, he said it can take 3-6 months for most women to ovulate on their own again. In very extreme cases which are rare, it can take up to a year. I estimate that it took me about 4 months. My first cycle was 50 days, then 40 days, then 36, and now I'm around 33 d
