14DOP- Negative, but....

So I took a test yesterday and today both negative. I feel like I am pregnant, after 2 years of trying I swear I've never felt like this before not to mention my period was due today and I don't feel any evidence that it's on it's way (I normally "know" when it's just about here).... Anyway, the thing that has me concerned is the negative tests. I mean how common is it to have a pregnancy test that is suppose to detect your period 6 days soon to give a false negative at 14dpo???? Ugggg, I can;t take it anymore!!! I either want to start thinking of cleaver ways to tell the fam on x-mas that we are finally pg or I want to have a drink cause, lets face it if I'm not pregnant and my body is just teasing me... Well I think I need a drink. lol. So after all that, can anyone tell me the odds of a false negative at this time???
